3. Investor transactions and servicing
Investors buy, redeem and switch units through AMC apps and websites, distributors, banks, stock-exchange MF platforms and fintech apps, with RTAs maintaining folios and processing transactions. Sensitive actions—changing bank mandates, contact details or nominees, and large redemptions—are prime targets for fraud and must be protected with strong verification and alerts.
|
The riskiest moment Fraudsters typically change an investor's contact details or bank mandate and then redeem. Cooling periods, alerts on old and new channels and step-up verification on high-value redemptions break this pattern. |
4. Fund operations and valuation
Behind the scenes, dealing desks place orders, research teams handle price-sensitive information, and fund accountants compute NAVs using pricing feeds and custodian data. Confidentiality of orders and integrity of pricing and valuation data are as important as protecting investor accounts.
