1. Our approach
Metals, mining and cement need assurance that respects continuous, safety-critical operations at remote sites. Codec Networks works on four principles:
- Operations and safety first: plan plant and mine work with operations, instrumentation and safety teams; passive first, active only by agreement and never during critical runs.
- Strong boundaries: segment IT from plant, mine and captive power, broker every OEM, MDO and contractor connection and isolate remote-ops links.
- Assume ransomware and fraud: make ERP, dispatch and control configurations recoverable, make dispatch and statutory data tamper-evident, and rehearse manual operation.
- Prove it to lenders, buyers and regulators: map findings to IEC 62443, ISO/IEC 27001, CERT-In and NCIIPC expectations and the evidence your financiers and EU buyers request.
2. Mapping threats to services
The table maps the 18 threats identified in Document 4 of this set to the Codec Networks services that help mitigate them.
